Semi Skilled Operator TMP
OverviewThe TMP Semiskilled Operator works as part of the Thermal Metal Processing Department (TMP) operating the Shotblast, Mill Flat, Shear Boss and Strapping Machine and inspecting parts to tolerance.
TMP Semiskilled Operators machine and inspect forged metal parts.
Major Position Responsibilities While operating the Shotblast equipment, constantly bend to white light cavities and regularly gage cold forgings.
Constantly roll shells and stand shells on tables.
While operating the Mill Flat, constantly move pieces into and out of the machine.
Required to use a calculator for determining percentages and ratios and must be familiar with computers to create graphs.
Read written instructions and follow verbal instructions.
Work with and follow work instructions, PCRs, basic rules of manufacturing, ISO documentation, quality policies, and other work-related policies.
Demonstrate common safety practices associated with the manufacturing environment and the use of hand or industrial equipment.
Follow the 5 S's by routinely sorting, setting in order, shining up, standardizing, and sustaining the work area.
Basic Qualifications High school diploma Basic math skills Ability to operate machinery effectively and safely as required Ability to work independently Recommended Skills Machinery Mathematics Self Motivation Manufacturing Standardization Shear (Sheet Metal) Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
